‘Perth is one of the greatest cities in Western Australia and is very popular with tourists…’

Indeed, according to statistics in one year Perth had close to four million tourists with nearly one million traveling across the ocean to see this beautiful destination. However, as you’re about to discover, many of the sites that make Perth so spectacular actually lie outside the city. Let’s take a look at some of the best experiences that should be on your list of things to see when you book a visit.

Visit A Park Fit For Royalty

Kings Park in Perth is one of the largest parks in the world that can be found in the inner city. The Botanic Gardens are truly stunning with a gorgeous array of wildflowers and truly incredible examples of landscaping. The park’s location is also a massive plus. Elevated on the horizon of the city, the park provides the perfect spot for a breathtaking view of the rest of Perth. It’s for this reason that many people love coming here for a picnic at noon. You might want to head over a little early if you want a great spot to spend the afternoon.

They May Spit But They Are Very Sweet

Australia is perhaps not the first destination you would think of for a camel ride and yet here we are. Calamunnda Camel Farm is a great secret experience, tucked away in the hills above Perth. To find it, you need to follow the Bibbulmun track. There you will find the farm itself. Take a ride on the back of one of these creatures through the true Australian bush and see wildlife all around you. The experience is actually free, so if you’re traveling on a budget, this could be a great way to kick off your adventure vacation in Perth.

Take A Trek Through The Margaret River Region

If you’re looking for a day out, we suggest you borrow a car for a day at Perth and then head out of the city. If you take a three-hour driver, you’ll end up in the Margaret River Region, and here there are an abundance of experiences to consider. Do you love your wine? Be sure to book a tour of some of the vineyards in the area and don’t miss the noon tastings.

Three hours might seem like a long way to go for a day out, but if you leave early in the morning, you are sure to see some enchanting wildlife with parrots flying across the skies. As you get closer to the coast be sure to keep an eye out for dolphins playing in the waves too.

Check Out The City Zoo

Or finally, if you love animals do make sure that you check out the city Zoo. Perth Zoo has one of the largest collection of animals in the world including Koala bears. You’ll see animals from all over the world here including species brought all the way from Africa.

If you’re planning your own trip to Perth, do make sure you add some of these experiences to your agenda. You won’t regret it.
