Ryanair New Routes from UK - Winter 18/Summer 19

‘As much as I like to give Ryanair a hard time for their poor customer service, their new seating policy, and their refusal to pay compensation (naughty, naughty…), even I have to admit that they’re very competitive for basic budget flights…’

Unfortunately, they were more expensive than Easyjet for flights to Malta for January 2019 so I won’t be travelling with them for a bit of winter sun.

Europe’s biggest budget carrier has been announcing new routes for Winter 2018 through Summer 2019 recently. These are Ryanair’s new routes from UK airports…

— Manchester —

6 new routes are in the pipeline for Manchester, including one to Thessaloniki, which has recently been named as one of the top 12 must-see destinations of 2019. The new routes are:

  • Bordeaux, France
  • Gothenburg, Sweden
  • Marrakesh, Morocco
  • Marseille, France
  • Nantes, France
  • Thessaloniki, Greece

— Liverpool —

Ryanair has 3 new routes set up for John Lennon International in Liverpool:

  • Corfu CFU (running from Oct 18)
  • Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Paphos, Corfu

— Edinburgh —

11 new routes will be running from Edinburgh International for 2019:

  • Berlin, Germany
  • Derry, Republic of Ireland
  • Hamburg, Germany
  • Lisbon, Portugal
  • Memmingen, Germany
  • Stockholm, Sweden
  • Riga, Latvia
  • Sevilla, Spain
  • Sofia, Bulgaria
  • Tallinn, Estonia

— Glasgow Prestwick —

8 new routes will run from Prestwick, but some existing routes will be transferred to Edinburgh.  Ryanair has stated that Edinburgh is the busier hub and this is the reason for the switch.

  • Alicante, Spain
  • Faro, Portugal
  • Fuerteventura, Canary Islands
  • Lanzarote, Canary Islands
  • Malaga, Spain
  • Malta
  • Rzeszow, Poland
  • Tenerife South, Canary Islands

— Birmingham —

Ryanair’s new routes from UK’s East Midlands airport are:

  • Corfu CFU, Greek Islands
  • Vilnius, Lithuania

— London Luton —

6 new routes will take off from London Luton airport in the New Year.  These are:

  • Alicante, Spain
  • Athens, Greece
  • Barcelona, Spain
  • Bologna, Italy
  • Cork, Republic of Ireland
  • Malaga, Spain

— London Stansted —

From 2019, Stansted will offer new routes to:

  • Kiev, Ukraine,
  • Lviv, Ukraine
  • Nantes, France

— Southend —

14 new routes have been announced for the Essex airport, which are:

  • Alicante, Spain
  • Bilbao, Spain
  • Brest, France
  • Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Cluj, Romania
  • Corfu CFU, Greek Islands
  • Dublin, Republic of Ireland
  • Faro, Portugal
  • Kosice, Slovakia
  • Malaga, Spain
  • Milan, Italy
  • Palma, Mallorca, Spanish Islands
  • Reus, Spain
  • Venice, Italy

Many of the Ryanair’s new routes from UK airports are already being offered at special prices for travel between December 2018 and February 2019,  so grab a bargain before they sell out.
