‘Lockdown measures are slowly being lifted across Wales, so we’re looking ahead to getting back to some sort of normality here and across the UK…’

The upshot of this is that I’ll get to travel back to Scotland soon to visit my friends and family and be able to catch up with friends in Wales and head out on the town. Clearly, this means I’ll likely have to change my approach to dressing. Over the past few months, I’ve been exclusively decked out in loungewear and tracksuits. After all, there isn’t a lot of point dressing up to work in the garden. However, with the future in mind, I decided to go for something a little more appropriate for celebrating the end of lockdown, when it comes…

Sage Mesh Mini Dress

This mesh mini dress is the perfect colour for Summer.  I don’t have anything even close to this shade, so it’s completely new for me, which is good. I think it’ll be great for the hotter weather as, although the sleeves are mesh, they’re made from really fish material and they’re light-weight so as not to overheat you. That’s not generally a consideration in Wales, but I like to keep an open mind!

Nude Square Neck Ruched Dress

I have had my eye on this dress for a loooong time, to be honest. Lockdown has made me realise that I should just do what I want and wear what I want and stop being so hesitant. This is my attempt to do just that. I love the colour and the shape of this square neck dress and I’m now looking for a party invitation after lockdown so I can rock up wearing it. I’m thinking nude heels and maybe a neutral coloured shrug or wrap for the top for the evening.

Black Belted High Neck Ribbed Dress

To add to my two new night out dresses, I thought I’d switch it up a little with another dress! However, I chose this belted high neck dress because I can dress it up or down, depending on the occasion. At night, I’ll team it up with heels and bare legs. For day time, or afternoon events, I’ll go with thick black tights or leggings and ankle or knee-high boots. I like the way this can easily be changed with different shoes and accessories to switch it from day time wear to nights out.

Grey Loungewear Tracksuit

So, although I’ve been stocking up on post lockdown glam outfits, I also know that after every good night out comes a not so good morning after.  With this in mind, I placed an order for this cute grey loungewear tracksuit for pottering around the house on a lazy Sunday. Hangovers are so much easier to face when you’re comfy AF and lying on the couch, watching the latest Netflix releases. I have this outfit in navy blue, wine, and khaki, so it’s safe to say I love it. I like mixing and matching the pieces with other outfits, as well as mixing them up between themselves.
