‘Now that life has resumed some sense of the new ‘normal’ for most of us, it’s time to get back in the saddle and get out and about’

It’s been three months since I visited a store that didn’t sell food or diesel and it seems like forever since I bought anything else that wasn’t delivered to my door. Not that I’m complaining about the home delivery as it’s amazing, but I also like going out for coffee, mooching around the stores in the town I work in, and generally doing what I want when I want to.  With this in mind, I’ve been collecting some new outfits to get me back into the swing of things.

Red Ruched Mini Dress

If this ruched mini dress isn’t perfect for showing the results of all that lockdown yoga I’ve entertained myself with over the last few months, I don’t know what is. When the time comes when I can go ‘out’ out, I plan to wear this number to match the red wine I’ll almost certainly be drinking when I’m in it. Not that I’m fussed about my red wine drinking outfits, mind you, but jammies aren’t always a great look.  Not when you’re outside, anyway.

Brown Ribbed Loungewear Set

I love this ribbed loungewear set as it makes me feel a bit more glamorous while I’m pottering around at home. Plus, I don’t get any funny looks when I head to the supermarket in it because it’s not a pyjama set. Both parts are silky to the touch and really soft. The bottoms are fitted, so they’re like fancy leggings and the top is longer and has a lovely belt for cinching in at the waist. This is a go-to outfit for me as it’s both comfortable and stylish at the same time.

Black Long Sleeved Cuffed Jogger Set

I love dotting around outside in the garden or out on a walk in the national park in something that can handle the pace. This black cuffed jogger set fits the bill without any problems. It’s cute, it’s comfortable, and I still manage to look respectable enough to grab coffee on my way home from a long hike without alarming the locals. The top is long sleeved, so it protects me against all the things that like to bite me in the Summer, but is also light enough that I don’t overheat.

Bardot Cowl Neck Midi Dress

I LOVE this bardot cowl neck style of dress. It’s got such a classic look to it and the neck line is gorgeous. As it’s a bit longer, it feels more appropriate for a formal night out and it’s stretchy enough that going out for dinner won’t kill me. I love the fact that the black colour means I can team it up with some bright shoes and jewellery or simply leave it as it is. I really need to get rid of the tan lines on my shoulders before I pop it on. Wearing criss-cross gym tops out running in the sun has left some really interesting patterns on my back.
